Lois Mesecke Shaw, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on February 11, 2019. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary with Rev. Neil Kibbe officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Lois was born on June 29, 1929 in Hackleburg, Alabama to Terry and Mary (Whisenant) Baker. Lois was famous among family and friends throughout Texas for her homemade pies and cookies. Whenever family trips occurred, there was always a care package of baked goods made with love to sustain those traveling. She was a fanatic when it came to her flowers and garden. Her yard was the envy of the neighborhood. Lois taught Sunday School for many years at Trinity Baptist Church. Lois was currently a member of the Country Church in Marion and in the past worked and volunteered at the "Attic". She is preceded in death by her husband, Don Shaw, her son, Robert "Bobby" Mesecke, her parents and her sister, Ruby Jo Baker. Survivors include her sister, Betty Boyd; daughter, Pat Mesecke Scholl and husband Bill; son, Terry Mesecke and wife Loretta; daughter-in-law, Lynette Mesecke; grandchildren, Lori Scholl Dudley and husband Peter, D'Layne Hillman, Blake Hillman, Bailee Mesecke, Kendall Mesecke and Katelyn Mesecke; great-grandchildren, Logan Dudley, Nathan Dudley and Maddisen Moeller; several nieces and nephews, other loving family members and friends. A special thanks to the Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Staff for their loving care along with her special Angel Pam Lackey. Memorial contributions may be made to The Country Church, P.O.
