Lonny "Dave" Marvin Grimes, Jr., age 60 of Marion, Texas passed away on September 24, 2020.  Dave was born on December 2, 1959 in Los Angeles, California to Linda Diane Kenna and Lonny Marvin Grimes, Sr.   He proudly served his country in the United States Army and afterward worked many years as a mechanic.

Dave loved to fish. He loved the ocean, a fishing pier, and a good catch. On a few occasions he took his family on all night fishing trips full of laughter, ocean air, and relaxation while waiting for the fish to bite. More than fishing, Dave loved spending time with his wife, children and grandkids. He spent many evenings playing football, kickball, baseball, basketball and being active in the yard with his kids and nephews. He loved coaching his son's baseball teams and was the loudest, most encouraging fan for the team. His "Donald Duck" impression was good enough to make any child laugh. He was full of jokes and actually got the attention of the love of his life, Anita, by throwing french fries in her direction. He was playful and loving.

He is preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Anita Grimes; daughter, Amber Drobiezewski and husband Nicolai; son, Joshua Danna and wife Arina; grandchildren, Jack Drobiezewski, Jade Drobiezewski, and Christian Danna; numerous other loving family member and friends.  Private family services will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.  You are invited to sign the guest book at www.treshewell.com .
