Lorene Mayer Schraub, age 95 of Seguin, passed away on February 18, 2009. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery. Lorene was born on July 26, 1913 in Guadalupe County to Otto and Marie Mueller Mayer. Her husband of 52 years, Lorenz Schraub, her parents, two brothers and two sisters precede her in death. Survivors include her children, Sharon and Terry Hall, John and Karen Schraub and Jim and Bonnie Schraub; grandchildren, Jenny and Alex Bogue and their children, Nicholas and Corey, Barrett Schraub, Kasi and Robert Bundoc and their children Addison Schraub Bundoc and Evan Schraub Bundoc, Megan and Michael Broussard, and Pamela Schraub and her children, Erica D'Nae Fennell and Aislynn D'Layne Fennell. Serving as pallbearers will be James Gallup, John Gallup, Johnny Schmueckle, Greg Seidenberger, Elmer Soefje and Jim Thornton.
