Lorene Koepp Schriewer, age 87 of Seguin, passed away on February 3, 2014. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul J. Zwarich and Pastoral Assistant Donna Lou Zipp officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Lorene was born on November 29, 1926 in Guadalupe County to Arno and Minnie Schlueter Koepp. Lorene grew up in the Cordova community in Guadalupe County. She was baptized, attended Sunday School and confirmed at Emanuel's Lutheran Church. She married Warren Alvin Schriewer on February 28, 1948. Lorene loved music and played the piano in the Milton Dietert Orchestra. She was involved in various organizations at church and throughout the community. She enjoyed fishing, bowling and playing dominoes with her friends on Friday nights. She enjoyed her travels and adventures with her many friends. Lorene was known for sharing her gift of love with her special friends from Mosaic – you could always find them together in the middle pews at Emanuel's. She is preceded in death by her husband Warren A. Schriewer, her parents, and brothers, Calvin, Ralph and Chester and sister Evelyn Koepp. Survivors include her children, Debra Lowe and friend, Clay Downs, Jimmy Schriewer and wife Betty, Jerry Schriewer and wife Pat and Russell Schriewer and friend, Dawn Butrym; sisters-in-law, Betty Lou Bartoskewitz and husband Wilfred, and Shirley Schriewer; brother-in-law, Johnny Schriewer and wife Joyce; grandchildren, Vicki Wilson and husband Chris, Dena Altwein and husband Rayno, Jesica Wolter and husband Morgan, Joseph Regalado and friend, Sarah McCafferty, Kim Phillips and friend Greg Oetken, Tracy Landin and husband Manuel, Jennifer Crawford and husband Steve, Tim Engler, Sondra Lehmann and husband Keenan, Stefan Schriewer and friend, Taylor Zavesky and Brooke Lingerfelt and husband, Donald; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
