Lou Ann Chernik Myers of Seguin entered into eternal rest July 14, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Visitation will be held Thursday July 16, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral service will be held on Friday July 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Kingsbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Price officiating. Interment will follow at Kingsbury Cemetery. She was born March 21, 1927 near Ellinger, Texas to Joe and Lydia Chernik. She married Virgil J. Myers on June 2, 1944 at Bergstrom Air Base in Austin, Texas. Lou Ann was known for her sweet personality and gentle spirit. She was an excellent Mother, Grandmother, homemaker, cook, canner, and seamstress. She was an active member of her church, Kingsbury United Methodist, until she was no longer physically able. She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband Virgil, and sister Georgia Hrachovy. She is survived by her children: Forest Myers of Spicewood; Steve Myers and wife Patsy of D'Hanis; Kathi Gremillion and husband Earl of McDade; Kaye Koehler and husband Gregg of Seguin; sister, Jo Lene Whitehurst of Houston; sister-in-law, Marva Maxwell and her husband Hugh of Lyle, Illinois; grandchildren: Billy Joe, Richard and Paul Myers; Erin Arnold; Matthew, Jared, and Weston Koehler; 10 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Frances Ponce, Maricela Gonzalez, and Anna Aguilar for their loving care.
