Obituary

Loyce Nell Lange Miller passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at the age of 77. She was born on Sept. 11, 1936 in Geronimo, Texas to Walter A. and Bettie Koehler Lange. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 46 years, Gerald A. Miller; brother, Wayne W. Lange; sister, Deanna Lange Kohlenberg; and infant brother William Lange. Loyce is survived by daughters Cynthia Lynn Miller and Lorraine Kay Miller, both of Austin; son Russell Dean Miller and daughter-in-law Taena Franks Miller of Seguin; granddaughters Connor Jeanell Miller and Sydney Adelia Miller; sisters-in-law Beth Kunkel Lange, Carol Miller Poss, and Beatrice Miller; brother-in-law Kenneth Kohlenberg; nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was a graduate of Navarro High School and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Loyce was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Seguin for many years and was a volunteer at the Seguin Public Library and GRMC. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Sons of Hermann in Texas and the Laubach Bowling Club, having served as an officer in both. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 3 to 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Carl W. McCauley officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Nolan Lange, Keith Kohlenberg, Chance Lange, Brent Franks, Reagan Ploetz and Allen Schaefer. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Schieberle, Scott Mattfeld and Kenneth Kohlenberg. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 305 N. King St., Seguin, Texas, 78155, Friends of the Library, c/o Seguin-Guadalupe County Public Library, 707 E. College St., Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services, 1215 E.
