LTC Garry D. Nichols, Sr. (Chaplain USAF Ret.), age 80 of San Antonio, passed away on September 1, 2013. Garry is survived by a loving family, whom were his greatest joy, including his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his sister and nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country as an Air Force Chaplain. A proud graduate of Abilene Christian University, he felt education was a great step to serving any occupation one might choose. He was a strong example of love, honor and faithfulness. He blessed so many and will be missed by his family and friends. Chaplain Nichols will be laid to rest, in a private ceremony, at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
