Lucia Sanchez, age 91 of Seguin, passed away on January 2, 2014. Visitation will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary will be recited by Frances Luna on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel. A procession will then depart for graveside services and interment at San Geronimo Cemetery with Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Lucia was born on June 4, 1922 in New Braunfels Texas to Luciano and Consepcion Guerrero Guajardo. Her loving husband Pablo Sanchez preceded her in death as did two sons, Ignacio Sanchez and Antonio Sanchez, her parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Irene Smoot and husband Rex, Alex Sanchez and wife Dora, Ernest Sanchez and wife Katy, Alicia Silva and husband Max, Mary Ruiz and husband Richard and Rosie Belcher and husband Ronnie; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Jo Ann Rankin, Regina Balderas, Amy Dang, Cindy Sanchez, Roxanne Hargraves, Racheal DeLeon, Cassandra Ruiz and Toni Sanchez. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucy McNeill and Marta Silva. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 510 S.
