Luciano Castañon, Jr., also known as Chanito, Lucky and Nono by his grandchildren, 80, of Seguin, TX died at home surrounded by his loving family on May 1, 2024, of pancreatic and liver cancer.

Luciano was born in 1943 in Seguin TX to parents Luciano Castanon and Maria Cantu. He spent his early years at the creek or barbecuing on the weekends with his parents and many of his aunts, uncles, and cousins.

On October 24, 1970, he married his loving and devoted wife, Paula Perez in Stockdale, TX. In 1972 they had their only son, Joseph Luciano Castanon who married Kathy Bradley of San Antonio and they have two children, Dace and Lucy (his namesake).

Luciano was a Soldering Technician at Motorola for 26 years. He enjoyed working on projects and transformed his childhood home into the beautiful home that it is today. He loved to tinker and was always looking forward to the next thing he could fix-up. He was also known for his great sense of humor, even until the end, and always had the best one-liners that could make anyone giggle.

Luciano and Paula were active in their church, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and served on the "Scholarship Committee" for many years and in various other roles.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the following times and locations.
