Lucille Caldwell, age 83 of Johnson City, formerly of Guadalupe County, passed away on January 9, 2024. Lucille was born at home in Seguin, Texas on May 27, 1940 to Elsie Marie (Dreibrodt) and Max Schlather.
Lucille was a homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed playing bingo with friends and reading to her great grandson Rowdy.
Lucille was preceded in death by her companion William McGee, granddaughter Savannah Roeder, grandson Stefan Roeder, and her beloved dog Sally.
She is survived by her sisters, Alice Boenig and Maxine Van Pelt; daughters, Theresa Roeder, Dee Elmore (Mike), Cindy Solarczyk and son Vernon Joseph Zuercher Jr., grandchildren, Sandra Gass, Mitchell Gass (Ginnefer), Kaylee Roeder, Kiera Roeder, Michelle Zuercher, Barbara Elmore, Gordon Fulks, Chaundra Clark (Daymond), Jennifer Zuercher and Jackie Zuercher; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Smith, Connor Smith, Rowdy Roeder, Tyler Gass, Luke Gass, Elijah Resa, Kayleigh Gray, Daniel Cobalt, Millisa Cobalt, Makyan Clark, Zaydon Clark, Julliette Prince, Sterlyng Prince, Hayden Prince, Janie Parks and Jaycee Parks, niece, Melissa Boenig; nephew Duane Boenig; great-nephew, Corey Boenig; and her amazing caregiver and friend Frankie Green.
A memorial service celebrating Lucille's life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10 a. m. at the Liberty Lighthouse in Johnson City with Pastor Jim Boatright officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to any Humane Society of choice.
