Luis S. Rodriguez, age 89 of Seguin, Texas, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 11, 2016. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his sons Robert Rodriguez and Luis Noe Rodriguez; his parents; 1 brother, and 4 sisters. Luis is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Hortensia Rodriguez; his daughters Elida Suarez and husband John, Cindy Rodriguez, Beatrice Gann; his sons Rudy Rodriguez and wife Laura, Abel Rodriguez and wife Elisa, Ruben Rodriguez; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Luis was the owner of City Cleaners for 41 years, taking pride in the quality of his work. He enjoyed traveling the Texas countryside, seeing where the road would take him and his family. Vacations were spent visiting different states and exploring new sites.
He was a good and caring man who loved his family with an undying passion and was always giving thanks to the Lord for the things he had. He had a quick wit, always a joke or funny story on his lips to put a smile on your face or a laugh on your soul. We will miss our loving "Pop". A special thanks to the staff at Hacienda Oaks and Guadalupe Regional Hospital for the wonderful care given to our dad.
