Lurlynn Kern Smith age 82 of Seguin, passed away on June 14, 2015. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Lurlynn loved gardening, cats and reading. She was born February 3, 1933 in Bellevue, Ohio to Ralph Ingram and Evelyn Peltier Kern. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Smith, her parents, brother, Robert Kern and sister, Shirley Duggan. Survivors include her children, Stephan Smith and wife Deana, Rebecca Mercer, Christopher Smith, and Patrick Smith and wife Amy; grandchildren, Amy Moore and husband Garrett, Kyle Mercer, J. T. Smith, Claire Smith, Calvin Smith, and Lindsey Amstead and husband Brent; sister, Claudia Harkness, sister-in-law, Sally Kern and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev Ron Welborn officiating and with graveside services and interment following at Dugger Cemetery.
