Lydia G. Casarez, age 74 of Seguin, passed away on May 11, 2015. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. for the mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery. Lydia was born in Mission Texas on June 18, 1940 to Jacobo and Carmelita (Perez) Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Alfredo Garcia, Domingo Garcia, Andres Garcia Sr., and Emilio Garcia, and her sister, Amelia Gonzales. Survivors include her loving husband, Andres Casarez, Jr.; sons, Frank Moreno, Andres Casarez, III, and George Luiz Casarez; grandchildren, George Anthony Casarez, Melinda Casarez, and Robert Moreno; step-grandchildren, Priscilla Andrade, Joseph Andrade and Jennifer Andrade; brother, Robert Garcia and wife Elena; sisters, Yolanda Guerrero and husband Raul and Wanda Landaverde and husband Francisco Sanchez; sister-in-law, Mary Elida Spence; brothers-in-law, Ignacio Casarez and wife Hope and Pete Casarez and wife Janie; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be George Casarez, Gilbert Garcia, Michael Casarez, Justin Marmolejo, Robert Moreno and Arturo Garcia.
