Lydia Medina Flores, age 77 of Seguin, passed away on January 29, 2010. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Sunday, January 31, 2010 followed by the recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2010 for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery. Lydia was born on June 13, 1932 in Zorn, Texas to Juan De Dios and Consuelo Garza Medina. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of the Guadalupanas and the Cursillistas. She will also be remembered as a long time employee of the Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. Her husband Marcos Flores, Jr., her parents, 2 brothers and her great-granddaughter, Kayla Jennae Vollmar preceded her in death. Survivors include her children, Joe Flores and wife Gracie, Carlos Flores and Sylvia, Carmen Zavala and husband Phillip, Rose Sassenhagen and husband Daniel, Henry (Rick) Flores and wife Elisa, Abelardo (Abel) Flores and wife Josie, Yolanda Ruiz and husband Daniel, Patricia Trinidad and husband Steven, Mary Esther Adame and husband Eddie, Edward Flores and wife Irma and Marcos (Mark) Flores, III; siblings, Diega Salinas and husband Albert, Juanita Gutierrez, Antonio Medina and wife Sylvia, Isabel Gaytan and husband Rudy, Augustina Herrera and husband Alex and Stephanie Ozuna and husband Alex; 31 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
