Obituary

Lyman A. "Buddy" Moak, Jr., age 72 of Seguin, passed away on June 21, 2013. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek and Rev. Jim Price officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will follow in St. James Catholic Cemetery under the auspices of the United States Air Force. Buddy was born on May 17, 1941 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Lyman Aurelian Moak Sr. and Bethel Black Moak. After retiring from Mueller, Inc. in New Braunfels, Buddy enjoyed spending his time with Rosie loving and tending to the farm, going dancing, and traveling with Rosie and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Moak. Survivors include his loving wife, Rosie Butler Moak; sons, Michael S. Moak, Sr. and Marcus A. Moak and wife Michelle; step-children, Wayne Garrett, Vicky Lyn Brietzke and husband Mike, Scott D. Garrett and wife Sherry and Blake Williamson and wife Keesha; sister, Patricia Kirkes and husband Patrick; sister-in-law, Teeni Johnson and husband David; brother-in-law, Charlie Butler and wife Carol; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Garrett, Scott Garrett, Blake Williamson, Michael S. Moak, Jr., Blaine Moak, Don Lowden, and Dylan Amberson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Brietzke, Bill Hohertz, Lester Brashears, Pat Bonugli, Bob Crabb and Jerry Brown. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church or St. James Catholic School, 510 S. Camp, Seguin, Texas, 78155, Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services, 1215 E. Court St., Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jeanette Siltmann, 196 Townesend Rd., Seguin, Texas, 78155.
