Mable Christine Maddox, age 78 of Seguin, passed away on October 12, 2011. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor James Muse officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Mable was born on September 12, 1933 in Peachtree Alabama to William Randall Jackson and Gertrude Drinkard Jackson. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Marion Maddox, her parents and her brother, Randall Chester Jackson. Survivors include her son, Chris Maddox; daughters, Robin Gaye Howie and husband James Michael, and Patti Jo Conway; grandchildren, Christopher Shawn Shimeck, Christopher Baker Maddox, James Donald Howie and Justin Marzette Conway; brothers, Willie Marion Jackson and wife Emerlene, and Vivian Clay Jackson and wife Dorothy; sisters, Janis Inez Richardson, Elizabeth (Betty) Gregory and husband Don, Lora Horn and Sally Hilderbrand; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to any organization that protects our National Forests.
