Obituary

Malcom Reneau, age 83 of Seguin, passed away on January 4, 2014. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Mike Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Malcom was born on December 19, 1930 in Guadalupe County to Jesse Raymond and Lois Davenport Reneau. He will be remembered as a loved and respected elder of several churches where he served on the boards for over 46 years. Malcom loved ranching, gardening and hunting. He was a practical joker and a great story teller. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Mildred Springs and Maxine Knodel, nephews, Kenneth Reneau and his wife Kathy,and Douglas Springs, nieces, Doris Dean Welch and Dawn Sanchez, and brothers-in-law, Norman Glenewinkel, Delton Glenewinkel and Frank Glenewinkel. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Bess Emily Glenewinkel Reneau; son, Nathan Reneau and wife Sandra; daughters, Alana Peck and husband Joseph and Keri Orr and husband Randy; grandchildren, Ashly Miller and husband Eric, Joel Peck and wife Bethany, Ryan Reneau and wife Rebekah, Travis Orr, Shawn Reneau, Jeremy Orr, Kaylee Orr, Faith Orr and Savannah Orr; brother, J. W. "Buddy" Reneau and wife Dorothy; sisters, Iva Mae Carley and Billie Ruth Fowler and husband Bennis; brothers-in-law, Arlen Glenewinkel, Sr. and wife LaVerne , Albert Glenewinkel, Sr. and wife Barbara, Bobby Glenewinkel and wife Cherlyn and Danny Glenewinkel and wife Joann; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and a host of friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Joel Peck, Ryan Reneau, Travis Orr, Shawn Reneau, Jeremy Orr, Arlen Glenewinkel, Jr., and Brian Glenewinkel. Honorary pallbearer will be David Glenewinkel. Malcom loved his family and cherished the time he was able to spend with them whether it was at holiday gatherings or hunting with extended family. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Church, P. O. Box 267, Seguin, Texas, 78155.
