Marcos Flores, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on December 30, 2009. Visitation will begin on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. The recitation of the rosary will follow at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery. Marcos was born on October 7, 1927 in Castroville Texas to Marcos Sr., and Evangelina Rodriguez Flores. He retired from Guadalupe County Road and Bridge as a Foreman in 1991. He will be remembered as an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus Council #3412 of Seguin, Texas. Marcos was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bonifacio and Ernesto Flores and his sister, Tima Barrientos. A great-granddaughter, Kayla Jennae Vollmar also preceded him in death. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Lydia M. Flores; children, Joe Flores and wife Gracie, Carlos Flores and Sylvia, Carmen Zavala and husband Phillip, Rose Sassenhagen and husband Daniel, Henry (Rick) Flores and wife Elisa, Abelardo (Abel) and wife Josie, Yolanda Ruiz and husband Daniel, Patricia Trinidad and husband Steven, Mary Esther Adame and husband Eddie, Edward Flores and wife Irma and Marcos (Mark) Flores, III;brother, Alejos Flores and wife Isabel; 31 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
