Marcus Junior Newman, beloved father, age 73, formerly of Magnolia, Mississippi passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at his home in Marion, Texas. As a young man, Marcus was a member of the national guard in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He retired from Walmart after 30 years as the "Worlds Greatest Trucker".  He was a kind and caring man and an amazing father. Marcus was an avid reader, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his ex-wife Winnie A. Jones and daughter Melissa L. Williams, his parents Leslie and Effie Jean Newman, brothers Jerry Newman, Roy Newman (Emma), Leslie Newman and sisters Bessie Grigg and Ruby Newman.

He is survived by his daughters, Marsha A. Bruno (Daryll), Pamela Newman (Samuel Merz) and Hope Newhouse (Kyle); son-in-law, Deon Williams; brother Fleet Newman (Rhonda); two sisters, Inez Cunningham and Barbara Wheeler; sister-in-law, Rose Newman; as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Baby.
