Margie Lee Schomer, age 69 of Seguin, passed away on March 31, 2024.  Margie was born on October 30, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas to Celia Ann (Plosczynski) and Melvin Preston Easley.

She met her husband, Michael, in the spring of 1980 and they were married on September 20, 1980.  Mike and Margie never traveled much as they spent much of their time working on their homes (moved 15 times) in 44 years.  Margie loved to cook and compiled a cookbook of her simple quick recipes. Margie did this cookbook just last year as she received chemotherapy treatments.

She enjoyed her grandkids and she loved Jesus.  She taught Sunday school for several years, ministering to hundreds of people she encountered.  Margie had a heart of Gold and a spirit of faith that surpassed understanding. Margie always put everyone else first.  She was always a comfort to the brokenhearted.

Margie is preceded in death by her son Jason Schomer, her parents, her brother, Melvin Joseph Easley, her sister, Roseann Hermes, and her husband Kenneth.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Anthony Schomer; son, Bobby Chase Bailey, and wife Emilie; daughter-in-law, Brandy Schomer; granddaughters, Madison Chase Bailey and Paige Harper Bailey; grandson, Nikolai Hugo Schomer; sisters, Mary Corley and husband Waymon, and Melva Bailey and husband Steve; her beloved dog, Baby Girl; nieces and nephews, cousins, other loving family members, and many friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Church in Seguin with Pastor James Wilson officiating.  Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.  Pallbearers will be Delton Hartwick, T.J. Hartwick, Edgar Zamora, Benjamin Notgrass, Scott Bailey, and Leon Swientek, Jr.
