Maria Consuelo Collins, age 81 of Seguin, passed away on April 15, 2023. Maria was born on October 13, 1941 in Tampico, Mexico to Consuelo (Lopez) and Trinidad Montes.  Maria came to the United States in 1959 and built a life with her husband Bill whom she married in 1959. She will always be remembered as a hard worker.  She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them, especially at the beach.  She was always faithful to her family, her friends and God.

Maria is preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, William Charles "Bill" Collins, her parents, and her siblings, Cesar Montes Lopez, Javier Gomez Lopez, Hector Montes Lopez and Irma Montes Lopez.

Survivors include her son, William C. Collins and wife Theresa; daughters, Maria "Ali" Gibson and husband Stan, and Maria "Terri" Collins Billings; grandchildren, Joe Myatt and wife Valerie, Justin Myatt, Kyle Collins, and Elisa Collins; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jackson Myatt; sisters, Guadalupe Gomez Lopez and Sagrario Montes Lopez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members.

The recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Canon Stanislaw Fiuk officiating.  Entombment will follow in the St. James Catholic Church Mausoleum.  Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Collins, Joe Myatt, Justin Myatt, Kyle Collins, Stan Gibson, and Elisa Collins.

The family is grateful for the love and care Isabel Cadenhead, Maria's dear friend, gave her these final months.
