Marian Michal Clanton, age 71 of Seguin, passed away on October 11, 2009. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. The rosary will be recited, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Marian was born on June 24, 1938 in Shiner, Texas to Charlie and Emma Gaertner Michal. Her parents, grandson, Cameron Clanton, brother-in-law, Henry Koerth and sister-in-law, Betty Duffey precede her in death. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Lamar Clanton; son, Greg Clanton and wife, Kristy; daughters, Angie Henk and husband, Leon and Norma Mertz and husband, Trevor; sister, Carolyn Koerth; brother-in-law, Jim Duffey; uncle, Richard Gaertner; grandchildren, Katelynn, Kasey, Amber, Heather, Emma, T. J. and Abi; nieces, Linda Tellez and husband, Danny and Dana Walters; nephew, Wayne Koerth and wife, Jeannie; numerous other loving family members. Marian will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 510 S.
