IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marie
Dell'Aringa
February 11, 1944 – March 2, 2024
Marie Elizabeth Dell'Aringa, age 80 of Seguin, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, with her loving daughters at her side.
Marie was born to Elizabeth Ann Brunner and Herman Emil Brunner on February 11, 1944, in Flatonia, Texas. After graduating from Flatonia High School, she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where her daughters Beth and Dawn were born. Eventually, Marie settled in Seguin, Texas, where she worked for decades as a cashier at Williams Drug Store and then CVS.
Marie loved taking care of people and connecting with her friends, family, customers, and coworkers. She was known for her talkative and friendly nature, and she always made light of life's challenges with her wit and gentle sarcasm. She had dozens of customers at CVS who she considered friends, trading stories about family members and always lending an ear to those in need of someone to listen.
To Marie, her family was everything—and her family included several dogs too. She was a loving daughter who cared for her aging mother when she was no longer able to care for herself. She was a supportive mother and grandmother who thought nothing of driving hours to be a shoulder to cry on or a #1 fan in the stands at her grandchildren's sporting events. If you stayed at her house, she'd make sure that after dinner there was a big bowl of ice cream waiting for you, if you wanted it. Caring for and showing love to her family was her life's purpose, and she fulfilled it every day.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Laura Casillo; nieces, Donna Casillo and Lori Godsey and sister-in-law, Faye Brunner.
Survivors include her daughters, Beth Dell'Aringa (Warren Morris) and Dawn McGill; grandchildren, Maria Killian (Tim Gates), Patrick McGill (Megann), and Kyle McGill; great-granddaughter; Peyton Gates; brother, Marvin Brunner; niece, Robin Granieri (Mike); nephews, Michael Brunner (Verna) and Kevin Brunner (Deanna).
