Obituary

Marjorie G. Rhodes passed away October 16, at the age of 90. She is survived by her son Jim Rhodes from Checotah, Oklahoma, and daughter Becky (Chuck) Pantermuehl from Seguin, Texas, three granddaughters, two great granddaughters, four great grandsons, and two great great grandsons. She also leaves a favorite step great grandson, Garon Pantermuehl, who spent a lot of time with her in recent years, to grieve her absence, as well as her favorite companion Peewee. Marjorie was a very loving people-person who liked to tease and have fun her entire life. She was great with numbers and worked up from a teller in the banking industry to Assistant County Treasurer in Casper, Wyoming, ending up back in banking and retiring from that industry in the Denver area. She was A Nebraska corn husker relocated to Wheat Ridge, Colorado when she was very young where she met the love of her life, George, in high school. After graduation, they eloped to Idaho springs, Colorado, and they then resided in Arvada, Colorado, and Casper, Wyoming. In 1993, they moved to Seguin, Texas for warmer country. They were married for 60 years before his death in 2000. She volunteered for ten years at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. The family thanks Living Waters Worship Center for all their prayers and especially her friends for their Senior Life Ministry group; also, staff at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center who were so kind and took such good care of her while she was recuperating from a recent fall. She will be missed, but the family takes comfort in knowing she is now pacefully with the Lord. She requested that no services be held, preferring that we remember, "the good times." In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Living Waters Worship Center, 3325 State Hwy 46 N., Seguin, Texas, 78155 or to the charity of one's choice.
