Martha Hacker, age 82 of Seguin, passed away on September 10, 2010. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 2 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Craig Dubois officiating. Interment will follow in the Achterberg Cemetery near Olmos. Martha was born on January 20, 1928 in Guadalupe County to Anton and Lydia Ruth Scherwitz Achterberg. Her husband Herbert Hacker, her daughter Shirley Hacker, her parents and her brother Herbert Achterberg all preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons Doug Hacker and Kenneth Hacker and wife Robin; daughter Carolyn Agado and husband John; grandchildren, Michelle Nelson, Matthew Hacker, Ashley Hacker, Justin Agado and Lauren Agado; numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Hacker, Justin Agado, John Agado, Allen Achterberg, David Achterberg and Robert Achterberg. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
