Martha Louise Schulz Franks, age 93 of Seguin, passed away peacefully of natural causes in her home on April 20, 2015 surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Paul J. Zwarich officiating. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Martha was born on October 23, 1921 in Seguin, Texas to Herman Martin and Adelia (Troell) Schulz. On January 3, 1942 she married Charles William Franks who passed away on October 5, 1944 at the age of 28 while serving his country during World War II. She is preceded in death by her husband, her son David R. Franks, her grandson Dudley A. Franks, her parents, brothers Herman Schulz and Otto Schulz, her sisters Ethel Franks, Lillian Rawe, Elsie Linzee, niece Louise Ann Schulz May and nephews Chucky Bittner, Herman "Cowboy" Schulz, Russell Franks and Stevie Carter. Survivors include her daughter Bonnie D. Kunde; son, Charles L. Franks; grandchildren, Brenda L. Kunde (Tom Pierce), David D. Franks, William K. Kunde, and Charles K. Kunde (Casey); 7 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Nicolette, Jennifer, Candice, Cameron, Laney and Kristie; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Stephen, Guinevere, Juliet and Jake; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be her loving family members. The family wishes to thank her loving caregivers for their care, devotion and attention to Martha.
