Marvin Valentin Strey, age 94 of Cedar Park, formerly of Seguin, passed away on November 3, 2020.  Marvin was born on October 19, 1926 in Wilson County to Augusta (Lenz) and Earhardt Strey.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at Emanuel's Lutheran Church followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Kelsie Theiss officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in San Geronimo Cemetery.  All CDC protocols must be followed at both locations, including social distancing and face coverings worn.

Marvin was preceded in death by his wife Marian, his parents Earhardt and Augusta, a sister-in-law Ruth Beutnagel, and brother-in-law Howard Cochran. In the Lenz (Augusta's) family there were 7 aunts and uncles that preceded Marvin in death. In the Strey (Earhardt's) family there were 4 aunts and uncles that preceded Marvin.

Survivors include his son Fredlein Strey and wife Susan, his brother-in-law Charles Beutnagel and sister-in-law Helen Cochran. He is survived by first cousins Lloyd Lenz, Glenwood Lenz, Melvin Strey, Marvin Huth (surviving husband of cousin Trudy Strey), Virginia Strey (wife of Henry JR) and Beulah Reiley.  Three other cousins Buddy, Randy and Gary Strey.  Marvin is also survived by 4 neices and nephews Kevin and Tim Beutnagel, Lisa Cochran Dow and Wendy Cochran.
