Mary V. Casarez, age 83 of Seguin, passed away on April 18, 2019. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. with Apostle Rick Jackson and Pastor Angie Jackson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Mary was born on July 11, 1935 in Leesville, Texas to Santiago and Romana (Jimenez) Valerio. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chano B. Casarez, her daughter, Esther Casarez, her parents and her sisters, Nancy and Elizabeth. Survivors include her loving children, Adam Valerio, Rosemary C. Gomez and husband Henry, Chano Casarez, Jr. and wife Irene, Ramon Casarez, Victoria Tuch and husband David, Nancy Villareal, and Debora Casarez and partner Misael Escobar; brother, Savas Valerio and wife Gela; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous other loving family members. Serving as pallbearers will be Ramon Casarez, Christian Garcia, Christopher Gomez, Isaac Gomez, Gabriel Gomez, Jonathan Davila, Moses Davila, and Jacob Davila.
