Obituary

Mary Sue Howard, age 87 of Kingsbury, passed away on September 24, 2011. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 2:30 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Tom Jones officiating and under the auspices of the Seguin Chapter 555 Order of the Eastern Star. Interment will follow in the Kingsbury Cemetery. Mary Sue was born on April 5, 1924 to Elroy E. and Maud Davenport Walters. She graduated from Hondo High School in 1942. On March 21, 1947 she married her husband of 48 years, Wilmer L. Howard in Alice, Texas. From 1942 to 1957 she worked for Southwestern Bell in Hondo at the Air Base, in Alice and later in San Antonio. She was an active member of the Seguin Chapter 555 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron in 1988. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Kingsbury. Mary Sue is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Lois Tom and Lonnie Howle and brother, Ed Walters. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Sue Demoin and husband Donald; son, Daniel (Danny) Lawson Howard and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Denise Demoin Turner and husband Kirk, Crystal Howard Bertling and husband Brent, Dustin Demoin, Rick Fryer-Howard, Crystal Morris and husband Shawn and Chelsea Howard; great-grandchildren, Morgan Carnes, Riley Morris ,Timothy Daniel Morris and Baby Boy Turner on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Dustin Demoin, Brent Bertling, Rick Fryer-Howard, Kirk Turner, Shawn Morris and David Henefield. Memorial contributions may be made to Guadalupe Regional Hospice, 1215 East Court Street, Seguin, Texas, 78155.
