On Saturday morning, May 3, 2008, Mary Ann Joyce, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Northeast Methodist Hospital at the age of 81. Born on April 24, 1927 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Martin and Anna Korjeski, Mary lived most of her life in her hometown. She, and her husband, Tom, relocated to Seguin, Texas in 1995 to spend their senior years with their daughter, Elaine, and much loved grandsons, James and Matthew. It was the best decision of their lives as they spent every day with their grandchildren. Mary was a quiet, private woman with a profound sense of faith and duty. She dedicated her love and life to what mattered most-her family. Until her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress at Dawn Dress. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Tom, son, Tommy, brothers Martin, Frank, Joe, and Bobby Korjeski, and dearest sister, Anna Mae Gillon. She is lovingly remembered and survived by her daughter, Elaine (Lainey) Joyce-Klingemann and her husband, Bill, and adored grandsons, James and Matthew, brothers Eugene and Jack Korgeski, special niece/godchild, Trish Mazzoni, special nephew/godchild, Bobby Korgeski, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Randy Bergman, MD for his support and loving care through the years, and friends at Northeast Methodist Hospital. A rosary will be conducted on Friday, May 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by a celebration of life funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Darilek officiating. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery, immediately after the mass. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic School, 507 S. Camp St., Seguin, Texas 78155. Our loving memories will always keep her near. Good St. Ann, pray for us.
