Mary Anne Williams Koebig, age 93 of Geronimo, Texas passed away on December 9, 2018. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Seguin with Rev. Dave Diercksen officiating. A reception will follow in Karrick Hall. Private interment will be held at a later date in the San Marcos City Cemetery. Mary Anne was born on June 2, 1925 in San Marcos, Texas to Richard Dare and Annie Marie Rugel Williams. She graduated from San Marcos High School Class of 1942. Mary Anne graduated from Trinity University and later earned her Master's Degree from Texas State University (Southwest Texas State University). Mary Anne was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities including as an Elder. Mary Anne's memberships included Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She enjoyed playing bridge and poker with her women's groups. Always civic minded, Mary Anne stood along beside her husband Alfred Koebig, helping any way she could, as he served as Mayor of Seguin, Texas from 1966 to 1982. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Alfred Herrmann Koebig and her parents. Survivors include her daughter Anne Koebig Beatty and husband Bruce; son, Alfred Koebig II; grandchildren, Jared Reed Beatty and wife Elizabeth, Hilton Dare Koebig and Trevor Blake Koebig; great-grandchildren, Nora Katherine Beatty and Alexander Vincent Beatty; cousins and a host of friends.
