Mary Martha Richter, age 61 of Seguin, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Visitation will begin on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 5 p.m. followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. for the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Richter Cemetery in Wilson County. A reception will follow at the Holy Name Building in Seguin, TX at 1:30 pm. Martha was born on May 13, 1957 in Karnes City, Texas to Jesus "Jesse" and Sally (Olvera) Garza. Martha and Ken Richter were married on December 11, 1976 and were married for 41 years. Martha obtained her RN degree in 1991 and worked at Nesbit Nursing Home for 37 years, she was also Director of Nurses for 15 years. Martha is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Richter; daughters, Melanie Richter and Christina Smith; Son in laws Juan Muniz and Kurt Smith; and four grandchildren Cora, Alejandro, Fernando and Logan; brothers, Jesse Garza and Thomas Garza. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
