Mavis Amy (Strempel) Grimm, age 96 of Seguin, passed away on April 14, 2024.  Mavis was born on November 6, 1927, in Guadalupe County, Texas to Paul and Valeska (Erxleben) Strempel.  She is preceded in death by her husband of over 70 years, Fritz; her parents; and sisters, Shirley Jahns, and Glendora Ewald and her husband Fred.

She is survived by son Larry Grimm and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Michael Grimm and wife Morgan, and Megan Houtchens and husband Nick; four great-granddaughters, Olivia and Caroline Grimm, and Callie and Ava Houtchens; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mavis enjoyed traveling with Fritz, especially to Las Vegas and Louisiana.  She and Fritz also traveled to Europe, Canada, and throughout the United States.

Private graveside services will be held at San Geronimo Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel's Lutheran Church, 206 N. Travis, Seguin, Texas 78155, or a charity of choice.
