Maxine Burton Smith Dean, age 86 of Seguin, formerly of Corpus Christi, passed away on June 23, 2009. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi with Pastor Kenny Eiben officiating. Maxine was born in Traverse City, Michigan on September 28, 1922 to Dayton Tracy and Queenie Belle DeMoulpied Burton. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ewing C. Smith and Jimmie Levi Dean, her parents and her sister, June Knaak. Survivors include her sons, Ewing B. (Butch) Smith and wife, Betty and Roger E. Smith and wife, Billie; sisters, Doris Bartel and husband, Ray and Lorene Ingraham and husband, Dennis; brother, Arthur C. Burton and wife, Frances; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O.
