Maxine E. Stansberry, age 90 of Seguin, passed away on May 14, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Marcus Bigott officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Maxine was born on December 31, 1927 in Seguin, Texas to Berthold O. and Ella (Lambrecht) Naumann. She was a 1946 graduate of Seguin High School and a 1948 graduate of the Santa Rosa Diploma School of Nursing (University of the Incarnate Word). She was a lifetime volunteer for the American Red Cross and a huge Texas A & M University Booster supporter (She loved college football). She is preceded in death by her daughter Marcia A. Stansberry, her parents and her sister-in-law, Nora Naumann. Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Col. Robert R. Stansberry, Jr. USA (Ret.); son, Robert R. Stansberry, III; daughter, Janet Stansberry; brother, Roland Naumann; niece, Julie Sheldon and husband Charles; nephew, Thomas Naumann; numerous other loving family members and friends.
