Maxine Schleicher Stautzenberger, age 89 of Seguin, passed away on September 4, 2014. A memorial service celebrating Maxine's life will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date. Maxine was born on March 10, 1925 in the Cordova Community in Guadalupe County to Max and Dora (Ficke) Schleicher. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her children, Michael Stautzenberger, Mark Stautzenberger and wife Thalia, and Mary Stautzenberger Davis and husband Steve; grandchildren, Christel Stautzenberger, Marcus Stautzenberger and wife Crystal, and Morgan Stautzenberger; great-granddaughter, Makai Stautzenberger; sister, Marilyn Altwein; brother, Ralph Schleicher and wife Liz; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and Sammy, her beloved cat. Maxine received wonderful palliative care services in her final days and her memory may be honored by donating to Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services, 1215 East Court Street, Seguin, Texas, 78155.
