Maxine Mae Trost, age 91 of Seguin, passed away on May 29, 2015. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 3 to 5 p.m. Private family graveside services will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Barbara Dyke officiating. Maxine was born on March 8, 1924 in Dinuba California to Frank Emil and Joe Anna (Calvert) Malech. She grew up in Goliad then later, attended Texas Lutheran College where she met Arthur "Atz" Trost. She worked for Threlkeld, Saegert & Saegert Law Firm, Dr. Henry Moore as receptionist and First United Methodist Church as the church secretary. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, on February 23, 2015, Arthur "Atz" Trost, her parents, her infant sister, Ruth Malech, her sister-in-law, Ethel Baenziger (Harold), her brothers-in-law, Raymond Trost (Pauline), Rudy Trost, Gene Trost (Maxine), and Gilbert Trost, her nephews, Marlin "Butch" Trost and Pat Trost, her niece, Brenda Gescheidle, and infant granddaughter, Amber Trost; Survivors include her son, James Trost (Betty); daughters, Lynn Hoermann, Ginger Effenberger (Wayne), and Kathy Norris (Bill); sisters-in-law, Margo Trost and Viola Trost; grandchildren, M'Lissa Kiel (David), Brady Hoermann, Wes Hoermann (Jo Beth), Chris Trost, Monty Trost (Amy), Everett Trost, Shannon Myers (Jack), Vernon Effenberger (Angela), Will Norris (Cassie), and Paul Norris (Laci); step-grandchildren, Casi Wilke (John), Crandal Schlueter (Christina), and Chandler Schlueter; 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Serving as pallbearers Brady Hoermann, Wes Hoermann, Vernon Effenberger, Chris Trost, Monty Trost, Everett Trost, Paul Norris and Will Norris.
