Obituary

Melba Dillard, age 101, of Seguin, Texas (formerly of Hereford, Texas) passed away on December 11, 2022. She was born in Quail, Texas on September 13, 1921 to Stella (Blevins) and Joseph Owen Wood.

A.R. and Melba Dillard were married on November 24, 1946 in Sudan, Texas. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Melba served her church as an elder's wife with a passion. They were lifelong members of Central Church of Christ in Hereford. She loved gardening, oil painting, and threw the most beautiful bridal showers in town.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband A.R., sister Zelma Dillard, and by her devoted son Gary L. Dillard.

Survivors include daughter Glenda Tiner of Amarillo; daughter-in-law Carol Dillard of Seguin; one granddaughter Amberly Tiner Allen (Brent); and 3 great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Tennyson, and Colston of Austin, Texas; niece Barbara McCallon of Sierra Madre, CA; great nieces Zelma Lopez and Laura Hanna, numerous other family and friends.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, Texas.
