Melissa Shivers, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at her home in Geronimo, Texas.

Missy was born on July 8, 1992 in Fort Worth, Texas. Her dad soon gave her the nickname of "Boo" which stayed with her until her last day.  She grew up in Mansfield, Texas where she completed school and graduated from Legacy High School in 2010.  Growing up, she enjoyed gymnastics and softball.  Softball soon became her focus at the early age of 5.  She spent countless hours practicing and playing the sport.  She made many friends and so many good memories.

She dreamed of becoming a nurse or other professional in the medical field.  She was thoughtful, caring and had compassion for others.  Unfortunately, Missy battled with addiction for many years and it was a thief of her accomplishing her dreams, her health and precious time with her family.

Over the past several years, Missy beat addiction and moved out of the DFW area to make a fresh start with her partner, Nicole Hartwick.  Nicole and her family were a blessing to Missy when she needed to get away from bad influences that were holding her back.

She really enjoyed all that country life had to offer.  She had a new found love for chickens and would have loved to have a little goat.  The Lord blessed her with a peaceful, happy final day here with us.  Rest in peace, Boo, until we meet again.

Missy is survived by her parents Jerry and Paula Shivers; brother, Zack Shivers of Brock, Texas; her partner, Nicole Hartwick of Geronimo, Texas; grandparents, Dalton Moore and Don O'Neal; uncles, Terry Moore, Bobby Moore and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Trickle Creek Ranch in Weatherford, TX.  A private service for immediate family and close friends will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Seguin, TX.
