Melvin Adolph Jentsch, 64 years, passed away, Friday, February 12, 2010, at his home in Seguin, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Seguin with Rev. Steve Purdy and Rev. Ron Welborn officiating. Interment under the auspices of American Legion H. U. Wood Post #245 will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Following interment, the celebration of Melvin's life will continue at the Christian Life Center at First United Methodist Church in Seguin. Melvin was born on September 25, 1945 in New Braunfels, Texas, to Marvin O. and Erena Moehrig Jentsch. Melvin retired from the United States Postal Service. He proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force. He was the past drummer in the Pfeil Brothers Band from New Braunfels and was a member of the Methodist Men. Melvin is survived by his wife, Rev. Patricia Jentsch of Seguin; sons, Darrell Scott Jentsch and wife Jo-An and their children, Dylan Scott and Haylee Paige; Derrick Wayne Jentsch and wife Dana Klein and their children, Madalie Regina and twins, Aiman Matthew and Karsten Mark all of New Braunfels; step-son, Douglas Lee Copeland of San Marcos; brother, Elroy Jentsch and wife Norma of McQueeney; step-brother, Jimmie Meckel and wife Betty of McQueeney; many nieces and nephews and great friends.
