Michael Edward Jarrett, age 58 of Seguin, Tx and formerly of Taos, NM, went to be with the Lord at 3:04 p.m., August 29th, 2013. Mike was a "military brat" and born in Warrington England, at Burtonwood RAF Air Field where his father was in the United States Air Force as a B-29 pilot. Michael attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Annapolis. Maryland, and following his term as a ship-man, attended the Asheville Buncombe Culinary School in Asheville, NC. Michael was a talented chef who loved northern New Mexican cuisine and was famous for his homemade cheesecakes. He married Deena Allen-Thornton, of Taos, in 1985 in Zapata, TX. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Vessie Jean Jarrett. He is survived by his father James L. Jarrett, of Seguin, Tx, former wife, Deena Thornton (Brian) of Taos, NM, son Travis Jarrett (Celeste) of China Spring, TX, and daughter, Ashley Jarrett of Arroyo Hondo, NM/Stillwater, OK. He is also survived by three brothers, David of College Station, TX, Steve (Cindy) of Valrico, Fl and Lee Jarrett of Kyle, Tx. Graveside services and interment will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin, TX.
