Miguel J. "Mike" Santos, Sr., age 80 of Seguin, passed away on April 26, 2014. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Tres Hewell Mortuary at 5 p.m. followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. with Deacon Nick Carrillo officiating. A procession will depart Tres Hewell Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Mike was born on February 23, 1934 in Seguin, Texas to Pedro E. and Guadalupe (Barrientes) Santos. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He will be remembered as an electrical contractor in Seguin for many years. He also was a baseball coach for many years where he served in both Little League and Semi Pro organizations. He is preceded in death by his son, Miguel Santos, Jr., his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Maria Marin "Mary" Santos; children, Pete Santos, Christy Rico and husband Johnny Sanchez, Daniel Santos and wife Norma, Carlos Santos and wife Velia and Lynn Perrin; brother, Pete Santos, Jr.; sisters, Amparo Gonzales and Magdalena Santos; brothers-in-law, Jesse Marin, Lolo Marin and wife Lucy, Raymundo Marin and wife Mary and Juan Manuel Marin and wife Lupe; sisters-in-law, Minnie Castilla and Isabel Salcido; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members. Mike's family members will serve as pallbearers.
