Obituary

Milton Richard Harborth, age 86, of Geronimo, passed away on April 2, 2008. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 7, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Tres Hewell Chapel with Rev. Max R. Tyner officiating. Interment with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post #245 and DAV Chapter 61 providing a twenty-one gun salute will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Geronimo. A reception will follow at the American Legion Post #245 in Seguin. Serving as pallbearers will be Doug and Ward Glenewinkel, Bruce Harborth, Nolan Kruckemeyer, Albert Jonas, Warren Kutscher, Gary and Gregory Lehmann. Milton was born on October 24, 1921 at home in Guadalupe County, Texas to Rudolph and Ida Heinemeier Harborth. Milton was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army Air Corp and a member of the American Legion H. U. Wood Post #245 in Seguin. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher in Guadalupe County. He loved the Lord and was a member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in Geronimo. He served on the SWARF Board for screwworm eradication. He served on the Texas State Farm Bureau Board and County Farm Bureau Board. Milton was past president of the Pachyderm Club. He was Assistant Sergeant -At-Arms for the Texas State Legislature for two terms. His wife Jeanne Harborth and parents preceded him in death as did his brother Marvin Harborth and his nephew Melvin Harborth. Survivors include his son, Rick Harborth; nephew, Daniel Harborth and wife Nelda; nieces, Shirley Hayden and husband Tom and Pat Harborth; sister-in-law, Lucille Harborth; numerous extended family and many friends. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Evangelical Church, 902 Timmermann Road, Seguin, Texas, 78155, American Legion Post #245, P.O.
