Minerva Hernandez Rangel, age 66 of Seguin, passed away on April 7, 2021.  Minerva was born on April 24, 1954 in Seguin, Texas to Isabel (Ybanez) and Manuel Hernandez.  Minerva will be remembered for her love of life.  She enjoyed dancing, family vacations and bingo.  One of her favorite places to go was the Lucky Eagle Casino. Her most precious times were spent being around family, having fun and making everyone laugh.

Minerva is preceded in death by her loving husband, Abelardo Rangel, Jr., her parents, her brothers, Frank, Emilio and Manuel Hernandez, and her sisters, Elida Palomo, Mary Lou Hernandez, Yolanda Arriaga and Virginia H. Ruiz.

Survivors include her children, David Rangel (Tammy Sinniger), Denise Rangel (David Castillo), Jessica Rangel (Ismael Davila), and Adrian Rangel; siblings, Nora Castillo (Estachio), Marina Pape, and Corina Villegas (Gilbert); 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel.  Visitation will begin again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.  Interment will follow in Santo Tomas Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be David Rangel, David Rangel, Jr., Ismael Davila, Tyler Villegas, Jason Gil, Sr., Jared Gil, Aurora Herrera, David Castillo, Robert Rangel and Ryan Rangel.

Face coverings are requested at both the funeral home and church.
