Monroe Carl Zuehl, Sr., age 95 of Marion, passed away on December 12, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church followed by services at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. David W. Collins III officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Monroe was born on August 25, 1920 in Guadalupe County to Walter and Bertha (Naumann) Zuehl. He was a longtime farmer in Guadalupe County, dedicated employee to Green Valley Water and a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Louise Zuehl, his parents and brothers Arnold Zuehl and wife Mildred and Richard Zuehl and wife Doris. Survivors include his son Monroe Zuehl, Jr.; grandchildren, Lorin Nagelmueller and husband Travis and Ashley Zuehl; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Dale Reiley, Darren Reiley, Pat Allen, Edwin "Red" Green, Philip Holcombe and Curtis Holcombe.
