Nathan Charles Leissner age 57 of Seguin, passed away on October 27, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Tres Hewell Mortuary on Saturday, November, 5 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Roy officiating. A reception will follow at St. James Catholic Church Parish Hall, which will include an exhibit of Nathan's art. Nathan was born on January 20, 1959 in Houston, TX to James and Joyce (Bonaventure) Leissner. He was a 1977 graduate of Seguin High School and attended Southwest Texas State University. Nathan was a son, a brother, a nephew, an uncle, an accomplished artist, an elder caregiver, a handy man and a free spirit. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister Laura Leissner-Carlson. Survivors include his parents, sisters, Blanche Walker and husband Neal, Naomi Leissner and fiancé Tom Williams, and Diane Baines and husband John; brother-in-law, Bill Carlson and wife Bobbi; nephews, Trez Walker and Skyler Walker; niece, Violet Carlson; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. The family would like to thank all those who visited or were in contact with him through his illness as well as Craig, Claudette, and Regina who assisted in his care.
