Obituary

Nathaniel "Nathan" Reed Ross, age 31, of Seguin, returned to his heavenly home on March 9, 2021. Nathan was born at home in Spring Branch, Texas on August 30, 1989. He was the third child and second son to Wayne Louis Ross and Shon Teres (Maughan) Ross.  Nathan had an amazing mind and the kindest of hearts.  He was a friend to all.  Nathan loved nature and trees. He loved writing and drawing and was very talented at both. He loved creating and playing games of all sorts and was excellent at them. Nathan was an Eagle Scout and served as an Assistant Scout Master. Nathan spent a couple years in service to his family helping to care for his siblings with special needs. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and intended to serve a mission for the church and was preparing for such when it was discovered he had the onset of Schizophrenia.  Nathan's condition, over time, with the medications he had to take in order to remain able to care for himself, slowly took away all that he loved to do, however Nathan never complained.  He continued to serve and help others whenever possible and patiently endured his earthly trials with dignity and honor. He was joyously received in heaven by his grandfather E. Glade Maughan, and his grandmother Gay Louise (French) Ross. Survivors include his parents, Wayne and Shon Ross, brother Jonathan Ross, sister Clarissa (Ociel) Castelan, sister Christina Ross, sister Katrina (Adam) Wright, brother Rudy Ross, brother Robert "Bobby" Ross, brother Jacob Ross, brother Jesse "Jason" Ross, sister Alyssa Ross, brother Matthew Ross, brother Ian Ross, and brother Elijah Ross.  Along with four nieces, three nephews, oodles of Aunts, Uncles, grandparents, and cousins extending across the globe.

Nathan was not into material things of any kind. His most valued belongings were a pencil and a notebook of paper.  In lieu of any flowers or other sentiments being sent, we are inviting people to plant a tree or give a donation to a children's charity or an organization that helps those with mental illness.  For those who desire
