Nelda Lehmann Schrank beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away on July 6, 2013. Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Wednesday July 10, 2013 at 10:00 am at San Geronimo Cemetery under the direction of Tres Hewell Mortuary with Pastor Jeremy Roy officiating.
Nelda was born on March 10, 1934 in Guadalupe County to Arnold Lehmann, Sr. and Annie Schoelzel Lehmann. She is preceded in death by her parents as well as brother Arnold Lehmann, Jr., sisters, Irene Lehmann and Evelyn Schwarzlose, and granddaughter Tianna Braham.
Nelda is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years Henry F. Schrank, Jr.; Daughter Cindy Beck and Jack Braham of Seguin; Daughter Gail McHam and husband Stan of Austin; Daughter Fay Bennett and husband Gary of Seguin; Beloved Grandchildren Danny Beck Jr. of Seguin; Michelle McHam of Austin; and Nicole Bennett of Seguin; as well as cherished Great Granddaughter Candace Beck of Seguin. Survivors also include Sister Gerlene Goebel of New Braunfels; Brothers Leroy and Everett Lehmann of Seguin as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nelda retired from Mission Valley Mills/West Point Pepperell after 45 years of service. She devoted her life to taking care of her husband and her children. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She loved being outside working in the yard and looked forward to putting up outside Christmas decorations every year. She enjoyed taking care of others. She had many pets including dogs, cats, birds, and fish. Nelda had a ready smile and a kind heart. She will be greatly missed.
