Nelson R. Schneider, age 65 of Seguin, passed away on February 24, 2012. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 2 to 7:30 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Gregory Nevlud officiating. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Mr. Schneider was born August 8, 1946 in San Antonio to Arlon Carl and Gertrude Tschoepe Schneider. He is preceded in death by his parents; fathers-in-law, Frank Evans and Jerome Henze and brother-in-law, Roy Trappe. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Teresa Evans Schneider; son, Brett Schneider and wife Caroline; daughters, Dawn Vincent and husband Shawn, Donna Davis and husband Alan, and Glenda Wall and husband Rob; brother, Lee Haecker and wife Judy; sister, Betty Trappe; mother-in-law, Irene Henze; grandchildren, Taylor and Chase Vincent, Rob and Kristen Davis, Alyssa, Anthony and Austin Wall; uncle, Arthur Tschoepe and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
