Nettie "Bebe" Starkey Cox, age 90 of Seguin, passed away on July 27, 2008. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Tres Hewell Mortuary. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Dugger Cemetery with Chaplain Jeremy Roy officiating. Nettie was born on December 30, 1917 in Guadalupe County to Otis and Nettie Springs Starkey. Her grandparents, Andrew and Malinda Ann Springs raised her. Nettie was a 1936 graduate of Seguin High School. Her parents and grandparents precede her in death as does her husband Hugh Vernon Cox, son, Edward R. Cooper and brother, James O. Starkey. Survivors include her grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper, Kathryn Toth, Terri Cooper, Cindi Chiatovich, and Richard Cooper; uncle, Barney Springs; several great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; numerous cousins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Springs, Danny Springs, Jerry Springs, James Seay, David Behal and Jimmy Bunt.
